Career

Master at law from the "Vrije Universiteit Brussel" (1975)
Legal adviser to the V.E.V. (Vlaams Economisch Verbond) social department where he specialised in employment law (1975 - 1982)
Lecturer in postgraduate management of human resources at the "Institut Supérieur de Commerce Saint-Louis" (1990 - 2000)
Didier Votquenne has been a member of the Brussels' bar since 1982.
Former member of the Brussels Bar Council.
He is a partner of the firm.

He is recognized in 2015 by Best Lawyers as “Lawyer of the Year” for the practice area Labor and Employment Law.

Didier Votquenne is a specialist in employment law, individual and collective employment law and social security law.

Publications and other activities

He is the author of a number of publications on employment law and, together with Claude Wantiez, has published two books " Beschermde werknemers " en "Le licenciement pour motif grave".

He taught employment law as part of the training of pupil barristers at the Brussels' bar (CAPA) from 1990 until 2007.

He is a member of the editorial committee of the A.T.O. (Aanwerven, Tewerkstellen, Ontslaan) (Kluwer / Ced - Samson).

He is a regular speaker on employment law at conferences and seminars.
